Gustave Ducroux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Kerrien having to interfere. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Omar Kerrien, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Franck Loison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Kerrien having to interfere. Franck Loison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jarod Drouault came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Grenoble fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarod Drouault couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, Jérémie Corbeau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noir Dragons FootballClub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grenoble the free kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Franck Loison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Kerrien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franck Loison, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Franck Loison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Kerrien was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Grenoble's Franck Loison got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jarod Drouault fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grenoble's protests and gave Jarod Drouault a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grenoble getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jarod Drouault hit a great ball. Noir Dragons FootballClub's Omar Kerrien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franck Loison in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franck Loison in the 74th minute of play forced Noir Dragons FootballClub's goalkeeper Omar Kerrien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 75th minute of the match Bertrand Fougère completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bertrand Fougère a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Noir Dragons FootballClub's Bertrand Fougère got a free kick in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Franck Loison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grenoble's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franck Loison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jérémie Corbeau in the 79th minute of play forced Grenoble's goalkeeper Joachim Degroote to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Flavian Bordas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Kerrien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franck Loison in the 83rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Franck Loison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Kerrien was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Franck Loison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Franck Loison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Noir Dragons FootballClub's Omar Kerrien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grenoble had played much better football throughout.
