Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sergy's Frédéric Queinnec started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Sergy's Merlin Thouvenin got control of the ball when Mourad Carrat tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sergy's Jean-Marie Bal got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Raoul Ducatez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Merlin Thouvenin skillfully saved the ball. In the 12th minute, Mourad Carrat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Findrol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Yann Le Pennec recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Merlin Thouvenin. Yann Le Pennec showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Sergy's goal looked a bit too open when Mourad Carrat came free, but Merlin Thouvenin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yann Le Pennec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Éthan Ducourneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Levi in the 31st minute of the match. When Yann Le Pennec came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Findrol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yann Le Pennec couldn't finish the play. Mourad Carrat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Merlin Thouvenin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frédéric Queinnec struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Éthan Ducourneau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sergy. Eliott Desmons's late challenge caught a Sergy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliott Desmons helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Findrol getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Eliott Desmons hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mourad Carrat to make the kick off. Edmond Baraton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Merlin Thouvenin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Mourad Carrat made a precise shot to the right of Merlin Thouvenin. Sergy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of Sergy booed when Findrol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Lequesne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Éthan Ducourneau made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Vivien Zajac sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, Findrol's goalkeeper Éthan Ducourneau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Brahimi. A collision led to Findrol getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Yann Le Pennec hit a great ball. If Edmond Baraton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Mourad Carrat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Thouvenin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Merlin Thouvenin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mourad Carrat's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. The supporters of Findrol booed when Sergy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Levi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mourad Carrat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mourad Carrat in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Merlin Thouvenin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Lequesne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Brahimi's late challenge caught a Findrol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Brahimi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Sergy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Brahimi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sergy's zone, Mourad Carrat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Thouvenin came out of the goal and Mourad Carrat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mourad Carrat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Merlin Thouvenin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Findrol fully deserved thier win.
