The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Billy Calle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Sète's Kévin Weisse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billy Calle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Charles-Emmanuel Devaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaétan Assie having to interfere. When Jean-Yves Boiron came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the TECHNIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Yves Boiron couldn't finish the play. When Robert Faugeron came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the TECHNIK fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of TECHNIK booed when Sète was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Loyez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Charles-Emmanuel Devaux dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaétan Assie, 1-1. After a rather tough play, TECHNIK's Brendan Pignot got a free kick in the 34th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mike Loyez made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Adil Barriol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Charles-Emmanuel Devaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Faugeron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, Sète was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prosper Lambinet to maneuver through the defense. Gaétan Assie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Yves Boiron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Sète's zone, Charles-Emmanuel Devaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaétan Assie came out of the goal and Charles-Emmanuel Devaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kamel Savina fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TECHNIK's protests and gave Kamel Savina a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sète booed when TECHNIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Savina didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Robert Faugeron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Faugeron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sète players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TECHNIK.
