Spectators: 6698 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maël Baumgarten kicked off to start the match. When Maël Baumgarten came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Quincieu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maël Baumgarten couldn't finish the play. Batiste Serot's late challenge caught a Quincieu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Batiste Serot helped the player get up and apologised. When Léopold Hauchecorne came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Quincieu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léopold Hauchecorne couldn't finish the play. Léopold Hauchecorne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Quincieu's Léopold Hauchecorne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc-Antoine Ponsot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Fernand Larose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bixente Bedos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marc-Antoine Ponsot was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Maël Baumgarten capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maël Baumgarten really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Malik Dubrulle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quincieu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malik Dubrulle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wattrelos's Bixente Bedos got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Léopold Hauchecorne got free with Marc-Antoine Ponsot in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maël Baumgarten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-Antoine Ponsot having to interfere. If Bixente Bedos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moussa Fortin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Quincieu got a freekick which was hit by Malik Dubrulle. After 59 minutes of play, Wattrelos's Bixente Bedos made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernand Larose was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Moussa Fortin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léopold Hauchecorne struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Marc-Antoine Ponsot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quincieu. After 67 played minutes Wattrelos got a freekick which was hit by Ahmid Guillemot. Maël Baumgarten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moussa Fortin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fernand Larose tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quincieu's Fernand Larose proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Quincieu from getting a goal against them. Bixente Bedos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Fernand Larose didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wattrelos. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quincieu's goalkeeper Fernand Larose, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Wattrelos's goal looked a bit too open when Léopold Hauchecorne came free, but Marc-Antoine Ponsot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes, Hector Mouty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wattrelos and the Quincieu players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Wattrelos getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Hector Mouty hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Quincieu's Arnaud Riquet tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Léopold Hauchecorne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quincieu's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
