The crowd rose to their feet as FC Barcelone's Robin Sabot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norbert Darracq. That made the score 1-1 after 25 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Norbert Darracq successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience was convinced that Quentin Bordet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samir Chanel was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Quentin Bordet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samir Chanel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Morgan Paccard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Olympique de Valréas booed when FC Barcelone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Sabot didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Barcelone players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Olympique de Valréas were winning 1-2.
