An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Costes in the 34th minute of play forced Goeulzin's goalkeeper Kylian Mériot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Kévin Chanteau managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Goeulzin's Aurélien Raguin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulo Beltran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kévin Chanteau. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Canebas's zone, Aurélien Raguin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kévin Chanteau came out of the goal and Aurélien Raguin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Beltran was the one to do the kick off. If Éric Dhalluin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canebas's goalkeeper Kévin Chanteau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kévin Chanteau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Beltran, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Paulo Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Kévin Chanteau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Costes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
