After having played for 16 minutes, Vincent Barat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boussange's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Barat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brice Cottier hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to Boussange getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Youri Derrien hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Ben Kahn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augustin Blache charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augustin Blache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Les Merlus FC's Augustin Blache got a free kick in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Boussange's goalkeeper Sébastien Gil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben Kahn. 32 minutes into the match, Les Merlus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nolan Duclaux came free, but Brian Nay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Nolan Duclaux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les Merlus FC's Brian Nay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Vincent Barat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boussange's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincent Barat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Nay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brian Nay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nolan Duclaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes, Luis Bonin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Merlus FC and the Boussange players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Les Merlus FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Luis Bonin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Les Merlus FC's zone, Vincent Barat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Nay came out of the goal and Vincent Barat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ben Kahn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Nay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Barat in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augustin Blache to make the kick off. Augustin Blache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sébastien Gil having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Noé Losson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, Boussange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noé Losson to maneuver through the defense. Augustin Blache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nolan Duclaux in the 64th minute of play forced Les Merlus FC's goalkeeper Brian Nay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vincent Barat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Brian Nay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Les Merlus FC's zone, Vincent Barat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Nay came out of the goal and Vincent Barat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Brice Cottier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Les Merlus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boussange the free kick. After a rather tough play, Les Merlus FC's Brice Cottier got a free kick in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Boussange's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Blache came free, but Sébastien Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nolan Duclaux in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brian Nay saved Les Merlus FC from getting behind. Vincent Barat might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brian Nay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vincent Barat ran back to his position shaking his head. After 88 played minutes Boussange got a freekick which was hit by Noé Losson. If Augustin Blache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vincent Barat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nolan Duclaux might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brian Nay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nolan Duclaux ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
