The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hubert Rouquier was the one to do the kick off. AC Arles-Avignon's Romuald Royon got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Cantarel got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Roguet. 58 minutes into the game, Cantarel's Patrick Tromeur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramzy Besnier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 68 played minutes Cantarel got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Roguet. 70 minutes into the match, AC Arles-Avignon's Éluard Colonna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steve Subra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Victorien Gasparini came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the AC Arles-Avignon fans jumped to their feet. AC Arles-Avignon's Ramzy Besnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Tromeur in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cantarel's Benjamin Marchat got a free kick in the 91st minute. Despite being the better team, AC Arles-Avignon failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
