The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Moussa Bihan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Canéjan's Boris Longuépée proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Canéjan from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Lewarde's Christian Ventura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Boris Longuépée. Boris Longuépée yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Hannes Säfström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Boris Longuépée skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Moussa Bihan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Nussbaum having to interfere. Hannes Säfström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Boris Longuépée when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ramzy Vera kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Boris Longuépée showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Ventura in the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Ventura in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boris Longuépée prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hannes Säfström came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Lewarde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Säfström couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, one of Canéjan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canéjan. The goalkeeper, Boris Longuépée, was totally fooled by Lewarde's Justin Odin, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Boris Longuépée showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Ventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Boris Longuépée made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Ventura in the 44th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Christian Ventura took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Boris Longuépée to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Joël Marchant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mehdi Nussbaum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Moussa Bihan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boris Longuépée came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lewarde's Christian Ventura. But to his dismay, Christian Ventura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 65 minutes of play, Lewarde's Hannes Säfström made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boris Longuépée was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 67 played minutes Canéjan got a freekick which was hit by Achille Baptiste. Boris Longuépée showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Ventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Nathanaël Épinat hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Stefan Mârza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Longuépée having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Canéjan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Canéjan defense, Hannes Säfström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boris Longuépée. The Canéjan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boris Longuépée should have stopped the shot. Lewarde walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
