Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Geoffroy Panchout made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Ferdinand Royant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Nice's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Ouvrard came free, but Emmanuel Griveau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Latour during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marius Ouvrard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 20 minutes of play, Jacou's Marius Ouvrard made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emmanuel Griveau was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Nice's Davy Miel got a free kick in the 24th minute. Jérémy Moulinier, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Emmanuel Griveau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Ouvrard in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th play minute Lilian Michon came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anthony Dufresne. 1-2. After 44 minutes, Geoffroy Panchout mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacou and the Nice players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Lilian Michon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nice's supporters rose to their feet, but Lilian Michon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthony Dufresne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lilian Michon struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Anthony Dufresne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nice. Marcel Durieu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Dufresne having to interfere. Jacou's Anthony Dufresne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lilian Michon in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Nice's Ferdinand Royant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anthony Dufresne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lilian Michon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoffroy Panchout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Emmanuel Griveau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
