Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve Cotten in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yvan Mazel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 played minutes FC BRVBUS got a freekick which was hit by Flavian Carayon. In the 21st minute of the match Bègles got a corner. FC BRVBUS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hamza Eveno ran over to the corner to take the kick. Steve Cotten was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 23 minutes, Timothé Lecerf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bègles and the FC BRVBUS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Timothé Lecerf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Yvan Mazel made a huge save. Yvan Mazel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Cotten in the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bègles's zone, Célestin Milesi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Émilien Bille came out of the goal and Célestin Milesi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Émilien Bille took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célestin Milesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timothé Lecerf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Yvan Mazel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Steve Cotten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bègles's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Cotten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yvan Mazel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Célestin Milesi fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC BRVBUS's protests and gave Célestin Milesi a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes FC BRVBUS got a freekick which was hit by Célestin Milesi. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Charlie Louarn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Charlie Louarn charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Louarn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bègles getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Charlie Louarn hit a great ball. The supporters of FC BRVBUS booed when Bègles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Antoine Gorse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yvan Mazel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothé Lecerf, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Steve Cotten scored 2-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yvan Mazel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Célestin Milesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bègles's Émilien Bille played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavian Carayon in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, FC BRVBUS's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Cotten came free, but Yvan Mazel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timothé Lecerf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
