The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Odet showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lucas Vieira took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Odet. Roman Odet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Lucas Vieira succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. After having played for 26 minutes, Daniel Méjean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TP MAZEMBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Méjean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Méjean was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. TP MAZEMBE's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Roman Odet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Vieira in the 37th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, TP MAZEMBE's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Vieira came free, but Roman Odet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lucas Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Méjean stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucas Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaël Jolivel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Roman Odet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bixente Pagot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Théodore Grasser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hocine Douville fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Odet having to interfere. The supporters of Thiant booed when TP MAZEMBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Archer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaël Jolivel scored 1-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roman Odet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roman Odet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaël Jolivel in the 96th minute. Aymerick Papon hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
