In the 10thth minute of the game Alix Le Bellec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sundhoffen's Lamine Decker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Alix Le Bellec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lamine Decker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georges Bergere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lamine Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20thth minute of the game Alix Le Bellec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sundhoffen's Lamine Decker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Sundhoffen's Philibert Bastard got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Oxford booed when Sundhoffen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Éric Gal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Marouane Planchais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ewan Eloy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Georges Bergere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georges Bergere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Daniel Penel fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oxford's protests and gave Daniel Penel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Oxford's Daniel Penel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Georges Bergere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Sundhoffen defense, Alix Le Bellec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lamine Decker. The Sundhoffen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lamine Decker should have stopped the shot. After the first half Oxford were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Djibril Lecaille kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alix Le Bellec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Lamine Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes of play, Sundhoffen's Marouane Planchais made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ewan Eloy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marouane Planchais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Sundhoffen's Lamine Decker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georges Bergere in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sundhoffen's Éric Gal got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to Sundhoffen getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Éric Gal hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alix Le Bellec got free with Lamine Decker in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alix Le Bellec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Lamine Decker made a huge save. The long shot by Adrien Lagardere in the 84th minute really tested Lamine Decker's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Oxford played a much better game than Sundhoffen and deserved their victory. The Sundhoffen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
