Dilan Métenier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gauthier Chappaz having to interfere. If Tim Touraine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25thth minute of the game Augustin Moquet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peuplingues's Ramzy Herment was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augustin Moquet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Bryan Ranc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hantay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peuplingues the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hantay's Bryan Ranc got a free kick in the 29th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Peuplingues's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Moquet came free, but Ramzy Herment reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Chris Wallon fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hantay's protests and gave Chris Wallon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Peuplingues booed when Hantay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Wallon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Hantay defense, Mario Gaudillère kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gauthier Chappaz. The Hantay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gauthier Chappaz should have stopped the shot. Ramzy Herment took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Moquet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 minutes of play, Hantay's Augustin Moquet made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramzy Herment was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Peuplingues getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Tim Touraine hit a great ball.

Hantay's Augustin Moquet got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Faouzi Casabianca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hantay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faouzi Casabianca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dilan Métenier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hantay's Augustin Moquet, in the 62nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hantay. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peuplingues's goalkeeper Ramzy Herment, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Augustin Moquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hantay's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Moquet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramzy Herment breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Hantay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Peuplingues throughout the match.
