In the 21st minute of the match Georges Jobard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prosper Carel skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd match minute, ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Pierre Salah to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Maing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toufik Mélis to maneuver through the defense. Prosper Carel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marouane Legris in the 26th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s Gabriel Giral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sofyane Charbonneau. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. Maing's Corentin Renoux got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s goal looked a bit too open when Marouane Legris came free, but Prosper Carel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marouane Legris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prosper Carel having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s goal looked a bit too open when Marouane Legris came free, but Prosper Carel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Corentin Renoux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prosper Carel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Corentin Renoux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 54 minutes ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nathan Casabianca who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sébastien Houssais almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s Prosper Carel did a great save. Marouane Legris took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prosper Carel. Prosper Carel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Maing's zone, Gaétan Gamblin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sofyane Charbonneau came out of the goal and Gaétan Gamblin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corentin Renoux might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prosper Carel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corentin Renoux ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s goalkeeper Prosper Carel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marouane Legris. Corentin Renoux blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prosper Carel having to make a save. In the 77thth minute of the game Corentin Renoux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐'s Prosper Carel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toufik Mélis during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ⭐⭐RENNES⭐⭐ booed when Maing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toufik Mélis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Corentin Renoux fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Prosper Carel, passed just outside the right post.
