Gilles Nicot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Élie Hauchard skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 37 played minutes Monpatour got a freekick which was hit by Yohann Brisse. Rodrigue Bachelard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Élie Hauchard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Élie Hauchard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilles Nicot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigue Bachelard to make the kick off. Monpatour's Élie Hauchard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilles Nicot in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Monpatour's Rachid Guillermet got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Gajac's Rodrigue Bachelard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Élie Hauchard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Mehdi Dervaux managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Monpatour's Ryan Dève fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Gilles Nicot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Dève got free with Mehdi Dervaux in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Monpatour players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Gajac from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
