Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Raymond Poujade made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd match minute, Valenciennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joris Lubin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Napoli FC 1926's Henri Morat got a free kick in the 9th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Clem Leseur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valenciennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Clem Leseur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donovan Françon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Eden Ramette rounded Napoli FC 1926's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Donovan Françon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clem Leseur in the 19th minute. Theo Jury took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Poujade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Napoli FC 1926 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Xavier Wadoux hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Eden Ramette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valenciennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Eden Ramette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donovan Françon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Napoli FC 1926 getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Firmin Leandri hit a great ball. Robin Jaussaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Donovan Françon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eden Ramette in the 35th minute of play forced Napoli FC 1926's goalkeeper Donovan Françon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theo Jury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auguste Violleau in the 41st minute of play. Theo Jury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Poujade, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Valenciennes's Theo Jury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Auguste Violleau in the 44th minute of play. Theo Jury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Poujade, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Eden Ramette made the kick off in the second half. Napoli FC 1926's Donovan Françon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eden Ramette in the 52nd minute of play. If Eden Ramette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Eden Ramette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clem Leseur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th play minute Auguste Violleau came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Theo Jury. 1-2. Donovan Françon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clem Leseur in the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Valenciennes's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Poujade came free, but Theo Jury reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Raymond Poujade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donovan Françon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clem Leseur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clem Leseur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Françon having to interfere. Chants of Napoli FC 1926 echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Valenciennes had held the ball for most of the match.
