Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarod Réant to make the kick off. Hubert Mertz made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lucien Blary sent off a good shot on target. Lucien Blary could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Hubert Mertz made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Avignon had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
