In the 33rd minute Gérard Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Sebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Lutterbach's goalkeeper Faustin Magnet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Schreiner. In the 35th match minute, Rodière was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francois-Xavier Mejean to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lutterbach's zone, Nelson Schreiner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustin Magnet came out of the goal and Nelson Schreiner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Chevreux might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faustin Magnet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel Chevreux ran back to his position shaking his head. Gérard Navarro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rachid Bigotte to make the kick off. Faustin Magnet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Chevreux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Nelson Schreiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anthony Sebert was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Rachid Bigotte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rachid Bigotte really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. 60 minutes into the match, Rodière's Samuel Chevreux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustin Magnet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Rodière booed when Lutterbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Aubin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Evin's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Faustin Magnet on his right side and into the goal. 66 minutes into the game it was 1-1. Chris Grandjean's late challenge caught a Rodière's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chris Grandjean helped the player get up and apologised. Chris Grandjean hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Samuel Chevreux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodière's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Chevreux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Chevreux in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustin Magnet saved Lutterbach from getting behind. Nelson Schreiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Faustin Magnet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson Schreiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rodière were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lutterbach to leave the ground with a draw.
