Melvin Daguenet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Madjid Bussy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melvin Daguenet to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Pioline's Melvin Daguenet made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Madjid Bussy was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 55th minute, Nathan Dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melvin Daguenet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Madjid Bussy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Melvin Sophie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pioline's supporters rose to their feet, but Melvin Sophie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Madjid Bussy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sébastien Cuenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melvin Daguenet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, Pioline was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luc Pagot to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Hakim Cellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basile Astie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sébastien Cuenot fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pioline's protests and gave Sébastien Cuenot a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pioline getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Sébastien Cuenot hit a great ball. Hakim Cellier struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Basile Astie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STADE ROCHELAIS. Melvin Daguenet came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Madjid Bussy could save by the left post. Madjid Bussy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melvin Daguenet in the 87th minute. Melvin Daguenet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madjid Bussy having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Melvin Daguenet could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Madjid Bussy however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pioline had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
