The audience thought a goal was coming when Titouan Bordeau got free with Melvin Houpert in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Titouan Bordeau struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Melvin Houpert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lavera. After 20 played minutes Lavera got a freekick which was hit by Marc-Aurèle Avrillon. If Aziz Catherine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio De Lorenzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Tim Frangeul in the 31st minute really tested Melvin Houpert's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Titouan Bordeau hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Aurelio De Lorenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Félicien David saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Lavera's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio De Lorenzi came free, but Félicien David reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio De Lorenzi in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Félicien David saved Lavera from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Aurelio De Lorenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. les verts's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio De Lorenzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Félicien David breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aziz Catherine made a kick off. Félicien David was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aziz Catherine showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. Aziz Catherine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
