In the 4th minute of the match Nelson Beaume shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Émile Samuel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Jules Bize managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Côte's Dylan Thibout fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Jouglet got free with Jules Bize in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Firmin Polo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Firmin Polo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Denis Jouglet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Firmin Polo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jules Bize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-0 became the score in the 28th minute when Denis Jouglet elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Firmin Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jules Bize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jules Bize stood somewhat misplaced when Denis Jouglet came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. Denis Jouglet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Jouglet in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jules Bize prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Firmin Polo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jules Bize was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The supporters of Côte booed when Olympique Montfrinois was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Côte reached it. 89 minutes into the match, Denis Jouglet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jules Bize. Olympique Montfrinois's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Jouglet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Jules Bize came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Côte's Firmin Polo. But to his dismay, Firmin Polo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0.
