Jean-Yves Ruckebusch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Lardeux having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Yves Carcenac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Condamine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Préseau the free kick. Yves Carcenac kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience cheered when Samir Boucher's long shot passed Pascal Lardeux's right side. It was 0-2, 34 minutes into the match. Gilles Hanriot might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascal Lardeux. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilles Hanriot ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Préseau defense, Luc Chapon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marc Madeleine. The Préseau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marc Madeleine should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luc Chapon in the 88th minute of play forced Préseau's goalkeeper Marc Madeleine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes in the game, Gilles Hanriot fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pascal Lardeux having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Préseau left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Condamine.
