Joseph Humez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Steven Greco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprien Polin in the 24th minute of play forced Seysolaz's goalkeeper Steven Greco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph Humez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Steven Greco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cyprien Polin in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Greco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Seysolaz's Steven Greco got control of the ball when Joseph Humez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Steven Greco was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Cyprien Polin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cyprien Polin really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patxi Monfort to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes lille got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Chatry. Darren Mottier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynald Ledig in the 62nd minute. If Cyprien Polin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th match minute, Seysolaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loïc Miranda to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Seysolaz got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed-Ali Sévérac. After having played for 69 minutes, Joseph Humez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lille's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Humez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Cyprien Polin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steven Greco was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Cyprien Polin struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Steven Greco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for lille. The supporters of Seysolaz booed when lille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Humez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Seysolaz's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprien Polin came free, but Steven Greco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
