Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renan Couret got the match started through his kick off. When Renan Couret came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Atletico Oxygène fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Couret couldn't finish the play. Renan Couret's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grégory Bobin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. If Anthony Macaigne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. REIMS's Gabriel Marguin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michaël Charnay was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. If Anthony Macaigne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute, Atletico Oxygène's Barnabé Bolot dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Atletico Oxygène's goal looked a bit too open when Marc-Antoine Delelis came free, but Roger Minne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grégory Bobin was a little too slow when Anthony Macaigne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-1. Marc-Antoine Delelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Minne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Marguin in the 37th minute of play. When Gabriel Marguin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the REIMS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Marguin couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc-Antoine Delelis to make the kick off. With a little luck, Atletico Oxygène's Roger Minne got control of the ball when Gabriel Marguin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gabriel Marguin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Marc-Antoine Delelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grégory Bobin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Macaigne, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Alex Jouanneau's late challenge caught a Atletico Oxygène's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Jouanneau helped the player get up and apologised. Alex Jouanneau kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Pierre-Emmanuel Sautron struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Grégory Bobin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Oxygène. Anthony Macaigne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Grégory Bobin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jean-Charles Pécourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes REIMS got a freekick which was hit by Serge Baranger. Barthélémy Pfister took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Minne. Atletico Oxygène's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anthony Macaigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grégory Bobin having to interfere. When Gabriel Marguin came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the REIMS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Marguin couldn't finish the play. If Marc-Antoine Delelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc-Antoine Delelis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With his leg Roger Minne managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when REIMS's Gabriel Marguin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. REIMS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
