After 27 played minutes, Cuvat's Pierre-Emmanuel Fleury shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmond Camus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cuvat reached it. In the 28th minute Tim Bouty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Camus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Bouty struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Edmond Camus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuvat. Massane's Edmond Camus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Bouty in the 32nd minute of play. Edmond Camus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philippe Ranson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Cuvat's goal looked a bit too open when Madjid Érard came free, but Jean-Michel Gourdain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georges Larche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean-Michel Gourdain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Massane's Edmond Camus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Massane from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Massane's Georges Larche got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Bouty in the 64th minute of play forced Massane's goalkeeper Edmond Camus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Bouty in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmond Camus saved Massane from getting behind. A collision led to Massane getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Roman Gouzien hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philippe Ranson got free with Edmond Camus in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the game, Massane's Madjid Érard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Michel Gourdain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Bouty in the 84th minute of play forced Massane's goalkeeper Edmond Camus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cuvat's attack was well implemented in the 86th minute, but when Tim Bouty was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 89 minutes into the match, Massane's goalkeeper Edmond Camus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philippe Ranson. Edmond Camus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Bouty, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Sam Angeli might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Camus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sam Angeli ran back to his position shaking his head. Massane's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
