Moineville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corentin Nicolet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joey Delacourt kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, one of Gémenos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gémenos. In the 17th minute, Rémy Baroni fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antoine Bideau, passed just outside the right post. Corentin Nicolet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Antoine Bideau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benoît Sire's late challenge caught a Moineville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benoît Sire helped the player get up and apologised. Antoine Bideau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rémy Baroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Clément Gousset charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clément Gousset the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gémenos booed when Moineville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kader Burnichon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rémy Fillion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Laurencon, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gémenos's goalkeeper Antoine Bideau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rémy Fillion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigue Le Tallec in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rémy Fillion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Olivier Laurencon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigue Le Tallec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rémy Fillion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rodrigue Le Tallec got free in front of the goal in the 76th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rémy Fillion was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rodrigue Le Tallec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Rémy Fillion made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Gémenos's Pierre-Olivier Laurencon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The Moineville supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gémenos's performance. The match ended with a win for Gémenos.
