Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Salomon Pignot made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Zinedine Doumenc sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmond Szymczak in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stéphane Ballester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute, Zinedine Doumenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zinedine Doumenc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stéphane Ballester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Leone in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chécy's zone, Edmond Szymczak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stéphane Ballester came out of the goal and Edmond Szymczak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Leone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Stéphane Ballester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stéphane Ballester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond Szymczak in the 43rd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurice Anton to make the kick off. Stéphane Ballester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmond Szymczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Gameiro Brau fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chécy's protests and gave Gameiro Brau a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Le Thoronet booed when Chécy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gameiro Brau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Edmond Szymczak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chécy's Stéphane Ballester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmond Szymczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stéphane Ballester having to interfere. Jean-Philippe Fargeot hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Edmond Szymczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. The long shot by Edmond Szymczak in the 86th minute really tested Stéphane Ballester's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thomas Leone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Stéphane Ballester made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Thomas Leone got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
