In the 20th minute of the match, Bixente Jouannic got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valérien Prieto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Guermantes getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mike Mouchard hit a great ball. Bixente Jouannic blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valérien Prieto having to make a save. In the 26th minute Yannick Foury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valérien Prieto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 30 in the game by Bixente Jouannic from a close distance when the talented Valérien Prieto managed to make a qualified save. Guermantes's players were relieved. The supporters of Guermantes booed when Paris-St-Germain GPX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmid Madelaine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valérien Prieto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bixente Jouannic in the 37th minute. Valérien Prieto was a little too slow when Yannick Foury got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mike Mouchard was the one to do the kick off. Valérien Prieto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bixente Jouannic in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannick Foury in the 64th minute of play forced Guermantes's goalkeeper Valérien Prieto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bixente Jouannic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valérien Prieto was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Valérien Prieto came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Paris-St-Germain GPX's Yannick Foury. But to his dismay, Yannick Foury quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Valérien Prieto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bixente Jouannic in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Guermantes's goal looked a bit too open when Yannick Foury came free, but Valérien Prieto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guermantes's Hubert Ricquebourg got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Bixente Jouannic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Yannick Foury who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guermantes's Valérien Prieto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Bixente Jouannic notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Guermantes's Valérien Prieto. Valérien Prieto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valérien Prieto came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Paris-St-Germain GPX's Bixente Jouannic. But to his dismay, Bixente Jouannic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bixente Jouannic in the 95th minute of play forced Guermantes's goalkeeper Valérien Prieto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Paris-St-Germain GPX fully deserved thier win.
