Florentin Merle charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florentin Merle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mohamed Ferrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Teil, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Bertrange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Debut to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Hugo Teil put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mohamed Ferrando. Mohamed Ferrando came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Paris SG's Eymeric Croisé. But to his dismay, Eymeric Croisé quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th minute, Romaric Dinet fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Éthan Martial, passed just outside the right post. Éthan Martial made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Hocine Bayon sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romaric Dinet in the 35th minute of play forced Paris SG's goalkeeper Éthan Martial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Thomas Debut sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paris SG's Éthan Martial didn't even have to move. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romaric Dinet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hocine Bayon in the 58th minute of play forced Paris SG's goalkeeper Éthan Martial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eymeric Croisé charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eymeric Croisé the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mohamed Ferrando acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ruben Jouvin. The crowd rose to their feet as Zinedine Métayer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mohamed Ferrando. That made the score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. Zinedine Métayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Ferrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Teil in the 75th minute of play. Mohamed Ferrando was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Jackson Félix capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jackson Félix really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 80th match minute, Paris SG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eymeric Croisé to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Bertrange's Thomas Debut shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Éthan Martial came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bertrange reached it. Florentin Merle kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. During the 88th minute of the match Florentin Merle completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Florentin Merle a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Bertrange's Florentin Merle got a free kick in the 89th minute. When Hugo Teil came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Paris SG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Teil couldn't finish the play. Paris SG's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
