Guillaume Le Tallecs short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Achille Douce to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Orléans's Jean-Pierre Wagon got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When FC Vendée's Aziz Delrue in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orléans's goalie prevented a goal. Greg Touitou hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Vendée's Rudy Faurie tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jean-Pierre Wagon kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Guillaume Le Tallec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Achille Douce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Orléans got a freekick which was hit by John-Paul Chazot. In the 24th minute, Guillaume Le Tallec fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Achille Douce, passed just outside the right post. If Terry Perchet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, John-Paul Chazot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orléans's supporters rose to their feet, but John-Paul Chazot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sofiane Donnadieu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 minutes, Mathys Noyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Vendée and the Orléans players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Orléans booed when FC Vendée was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathys Noyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achille Douce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillaume Le Tallec in the 35th minute. When John-Paul Chazot came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Orléans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John-Paul Chazot couldn't finish the play. Barthélémy Blouet hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. John-Paul Chazot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orléans's goalkeeper Achille Douce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sofiane Donnadieu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but John-Paul Chazot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 71 minute of play. The audience was convinced that John-Paul Chazot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sofiane Donnadieu was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. If Terry Perchet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 81st minute of the match Mathys Noyer completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mathys Noyer a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 86 played minutes, Orléans's Hercule Gaspard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sofiane Donnadieu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Orléans reached it. Sofiane Donnadieu made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Terry Perchet sent off a good shot on target. Guillaume Le Tallec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Orléans left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Vendée.
