In the 35th minute, Quincieux's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucas Leperlier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Quincieux getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Valérien Pouyet hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the game, Sami Jerbi FC's Lucas Leperlier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximilien Carrion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Lucas Leperlier came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Sami Jerbi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Leperlier couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Johnny Lavallee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blaise Aymes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
