The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Willy Tourte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcom Noret in the 3rd minute of the match. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Émeric Bretaudeau as he didn't even see the shot coming. Émeric Bretaudeau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noureddine Jacquemot in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Herbert Delalandre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Willy Tourte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Dark club booed when Whole earth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antoine Bottin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Émeric Bretaudeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sébastien Pérou, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Whole earth's Antoine Bottin got a free kick in the 24th minute. Herbert Delalandre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Tourte having to interfere. Whole earth's Émeric Bretaudeau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sébastien Pérou in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Malcom Noret got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Whole earth's Herbert Delalandre got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herbert Delalandre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Willy Tourte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herbert Delalandre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Dark club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxime Mazard to maneuver through the defense. Antoine Bottin kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Noureddine Jacquemot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dark club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A nice corner shot did that Rachid Prudhomme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Willy Tourte quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Herbert Delalandre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Willy Tourte. That made the score 2-2 in the 62 minute of play. Willy Tourte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Delalandre in the 65th minute of the match. Sébastien Pérou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Delalandre in the 75th minute of play forced Dark club's goalkeeper Willy Tourte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willy Tourte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcom Noret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romaric Pallas's late challenge caught a Dark club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romaric Pallas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dark club booed when Whole earth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position.
