The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arkadiusz Gaszynski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Le Denmat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Johnny Hérard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hontane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match Noé Gautreau sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thibault Tosello skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute, Noé Gautreau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thibault Tosello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thibault Tosello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noé Gautreau in the 22nd minute of the match. RimbachMountain68's Thibault Tosello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Bouyssou in the 23rd minute of play. Honoré Victoire kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Noé Gautreau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hontane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 31st minute, Youri Richomme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RimbachMountain68's Thibault Tosello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Hérard in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Flavien Ré mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RimbachMountain68 and the Hontane players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to RimbachMountain68 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Honoré Victoire hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Hontane's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Mouret came free, but Arkadiusz Gaszynski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Hontane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Bouyssou to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noé Gautreau to make the kick off. Youri Richomme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Arkadiusz Gaszynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hontane! Hontane:s Arkadiusz Gaszynski showed great skill when he stopped Youri Richomme:s penalty. After some careless play in the Hontane defense, Youri Richomme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arkadiusz Gaszynski. The Hontane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arkadiusz Gaszynski should have stopped the shot. If Noé Gautreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Youri Richomme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Noé Gautreau dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thibault Tosello, 3-4. Achille Le Denmat scored 4-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arkadiusz Gaszynski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Youri Richomme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thibault Tosello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. RimbachMountain68's Thibault Tosello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save RimbachMountain68 from getting a goal against them. Ronald Mouret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Arkadiusz Gaszynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hontane's zone, Ronald Mouret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arkadiusz Gaszynski came out of the goal and Ronald Mouret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Hontane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hontane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
