Denis Pignard came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Bêtise's Cyprien Bergeon. But to his dismay, Cyprien Bergeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 8th minute, Patrice Rochereau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gérard Vasselin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 14th minute, Real Bêtise's Maxence Laine ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denis Pignard. Denis Pignard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. A hard shot 18 in the game by Cyprien Bergeon from a close distance when the talented Denis Pignard managed to make a qualified save. Mondelange's players were relieved. After having played for 21 minutes, Carl Faure managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mondelange's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Faure was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Patrice Rochereau came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Mondelange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrice Rochereau couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Mohamed-Ali Duffaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gérard Vasselin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Mondelange's Denis Pignard got control of the ball when Cyprien Bergeon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aymerick Eudeline during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mondelange getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aymerick Eudeline hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Mohamed-Ali Duffaut had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gérard Vasselin. Real Bêtise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohamed-Ali Duffaut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Gérard Vasselin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrice Rochereau in the 38th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Gildas Heck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gérard Vasselin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-3.

The wind increased when Mohamed-Ali Duffaut made the kick off in the second half. Gérard Vasselin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrice Rochereau went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildas Heck in the 59th minute of play forced Real Bêtise's goalkeeper Gérard Vasselin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gildas Heck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gérard Vasselin having to interfere. Gérard Vasselin made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Mohamed-Ali Duffaut sent off a good shot on target. After 77 minutes, Carl Faure mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mondelange and the Real Bêtise players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carl Faure kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Cyprien Bergeon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aymerick Eudeline could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Gérard Vasselin made a huge save. In the 84th match minute, Mondelange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Boucher to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th match minute, Mondelange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Faure to maneuver through the defense. Carl Faure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Donnat charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Donnat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Victor Donnat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxence Laine took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Pignard. Denis Pignard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-4. Many of Mondelange's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mondelange may have spent more time on the ball, but Real Bêtise were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
