Carcot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Bêtise the free kick. After 4 played minutes Carcot got a freekick which was hit by Gabin Mottin. A collision led to Real Bêtise getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Armand Delfour hit a great ball. Aziz Cailly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Émeric Delaroche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute of the match Dilan Romeo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohamed Ruelle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Cailly got free with Gérard Vasselin in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Aziz Cailly took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gérard Vasselin to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th minute, Maxence Laine made a precise shot to the right of Mohamed Ruelle. Carcot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Aziz Cailly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Gérard Vasselin made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Carcot's goal looked a bit too open when Maxence Laine came free, but Mohamed Ruelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th match minute, Real Bêtise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugène Richter to maneuver through the defense. Émeric Delaroche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carcot's Ahmed Barbin got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Cailly got free with Gérard Vasselin in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the game, Ahmed Barbin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gérard Vasselin. Ahmed Barbin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Gérard Vasselin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aziz Cailly in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Émeric Delaroche to strike the kick off in the second half. Real Bêtise's Gérard Vasselin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Émeric Delaroche in the 54th minute of play. Carcot's Yoann Burgun got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mohamed Ruelle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxence Laine, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Yoann Burgun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gérard Vasselin having to interfere. Gérard Vasselin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Cailly in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Cailly in the 81st minute of play forced Real Bêtise's goalkeeper Gérard Vasselin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Émeric Delaroche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gérard Vasselin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aziz Cailly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Émeric Delaroche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gérard Vasselin was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. If Émeric Delaroche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Carcot failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
