Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the game, Sentinelle's Djamel Warin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul-Émile Mathelin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marc-Aurèle Christen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noé Briquet to make the kick off. When Luc Adeline came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Sentinelle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luc Adeline couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Marc-Aurèle Christen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Youssef Stalin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Raymond Gerbeau. Sentinelle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Noé Briquet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sentinelle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noé Briquet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Noé Briquet fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sentinelle's protests and gave Noé Briquet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Noé Briquet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Luc Adeline made a precise shot to the right of Paul-Émile Mathelin. Stade Rennais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 85th minute Jean-Paul Coroller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Gerbeau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
