The supporters of Murianette booed when Montanay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yohann Fréchou didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Dreano got free with Axel Pichaud in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Just Doucet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mathias Locatelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Just Doucet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Steevy Dumay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathias Locatelli. Murianette's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steevy Dumay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Jean-Christophe Desrousseaux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathias Locatelli was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Just Doucet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Mathias Locatelli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Murianette's Mathias Locatelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Christophe Desrousseaux in the 77th minute of play. If Sabri Groussard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Sabri Groussard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mathias Locatelli.
