Gérard Vasselin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugues Tison's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Real Bêtise's Gérard Vasselin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Munhoz in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Strasbourg ★ Union RC's goal looked a bit too open when Paul-Émile Achard came free, but Jean-Cyrille Valdenaire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22nd play minutes Nik Tamer shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Gérard Vasselin and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul-Émile Achard during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Bêtise's Paul-Émile Achard got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 29th match minute, Real Bêtise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armand Delfour to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Munhoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gérard Vasselin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Munhoz ran back to his position shaking his head. The Strasbourg ★ Union RC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Strasbourg ★ Union RC's Hugues Tison looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 44 played minutes Real Bêtise got a freekick which was hit by Eugène Richter. Gérard Vasselin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugues Tison, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugues Tison to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugues Tison struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gérard Vasselin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strasbourg ★ Union RC. If 陶然兴 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Real Bêtise defense, Hugues Tison kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gérard Vasselin. The Real Bêtise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gérard Vasselin should have stopped the shot. Hugues Tison who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Gérard Vasselin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gérard Vasselin was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and 陶然兴 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 陶然兴 really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. A hard shot by Mourad Iglesias from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Gérard Vasselin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Strasbourg ★ Union RC's Moisés de Souza got a free kick in the 69th minute. Gérard Vasselin made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Hugues Tison sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Gérard Vasselin managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Strasbourg ★ Union RC's Hugues Tison fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st minute, Emanuel Munhoz made a precise shot to the right of Gérard Vasselin. Real Bêtise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Strasbourg ★ Union RC made a substitution. Christian Fromage replaced Nik Tamer. Strasbourg ★ Union RC played a much better game than Real Bêtise and deserved their victory. The Real Bêtise players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
