Ramzi Boute hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The Pin fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Pin's Martial Gobert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Maximilien Tahon fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arequipe's protests and gave Maximilien Tahon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Vivien Weill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arequipe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Pin's Anatole Fichot got a free kick in the 40th minute. The supporters of Arequipe booed when Pin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Serot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Pin were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

57 minutes into the match, Pin's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Labbé came free, but Danny Arpin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Pin booed when Arequipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Édouard Valot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivien Weill struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Danny Arpin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arequipe. 1-5 became the score in the 72nd minute when Martial Gobert elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jarod Hatte was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Martial Gobert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martial Gobert really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. After a defensive mix-up in Arequipe's zone, Gabin Génot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarod Hatte came out of the goal and Gabin Génot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Arequipe's Erwan Nectoux got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Pin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arequipe.
