Gage Keng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Pascal Raffin in the 11th minute of play. Nancy's Grégory Pille got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gage Keng was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Christian Mottet capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Mottet really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After 25 played minutes Nancy got a freekick which was hit by Grégory Pille. Gage Keng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Mottet went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Gage Keng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Tosi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st match minute, Nancy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grégory Pille to maneuver through the defense. Grégory Pille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Cornilleau having to interfere. Grégory Pille might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jason Cornilleau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grégory Pille ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to LPN getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Youri Kerhoas hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Nancy's Nathanaël Gracia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gage Keng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathieu Tosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute of the match, Christian Mottet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gage Keng was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 46th minute, LPN's Mathieu Tosi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gage Keng. Gage Keng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Mottet in the 52nd minute of play forced Nancy's goalkeeper Gage Keng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gage Keng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathieu Tosi went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Gage Keng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathieu Tosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Youri Kerhoas kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Jean-Pascal Schaff made a precise shot to the right of Gage Keng. Nancy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Gage Keng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Pascal Raffin went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute, Christian Mottet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gage Keng was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Jean-Pascal Raffin took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gage Keng. Gage Keng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. In the 86th minute Mathieu Tosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gage Keng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Mathieu Tosi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LPN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nancy the free kick. Christian Mottet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gage Keng having to interfere.
