FC Bayeux's Gameiro Pitiot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Pascal Raffin in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, LPN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Mottet to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FC Bayeux's Dylan Bonnefon got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Christian Mottet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gameiro Pitiot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sidney Bordier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, LPN's Billy Valy got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Christian Mottet kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, FC Bayeux's Camille Bouzidi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camille Bouzidi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Bayeux protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camille Bouzidi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave LPN a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Salim Larde, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Bayeux's Gameiro Pitiot. 1-1. Jean-Pascal Raffin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gameiro Pitiot having to interfere. Gameiro Pitiot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Mottet in the 37th minute of play. Gameiro Pitiot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Mottet in the 38th minute of the match. Gameiro Pitiot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Mottet, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Pascal Raffin in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Bayeux's goalkeeper Gameiro Pitiot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jean-Marc Rodriguez charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Marc Rodriguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes FC Bayeux got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Marc Rodriguez. Jean-Marc Rodriguez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, LPN's Anatole Alcaraz got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jason Cornilleau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Théophile Jullien, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a little luck, FC Bayeux's Gameiro Pitiot got control of the ball when Jean-Pascal Schaff tried to sneak it across the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 88th minute, but Gameiro Pitiot got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving FC Bayeux hanging dry this time. 90 minutes into the game, LPN's Christian Mottet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gameiro Pitiot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Mathieu Tosi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathieu Pruvost kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched LPN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
