The referee ignored Sciez FC's protests and gave Hippolyte Rapin a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sciez FC's zone, Alex Damas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Demeyer came out of the goal and Alex Damas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Dumontet in the 12th minute of play forced Witwich FC's goalkeeper Arnaud Brie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sciez FC's Hugo Demeyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sciez FC from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Sciez FC's goalkeeper Hugo Demeyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Souche. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jules Tavares during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Sciez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jules Tavares to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Sciez FC got a freekick which was hit by Jules Tavares. 26 minutes into the match, Sciez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Leroi came free, but Hugo Demeyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Christopher Blas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Witwich FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Blas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Demeyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Witwich FC's Alex Damas got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Alex Bessière hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Damas in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Demeyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jonathan Souche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noé Malin charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noé Malin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Alex Damas made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Jonathan Souche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Witwich FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Souche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Demeyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sciez FC's Alfred Dumontet got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 77th minute, Alex Damas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Sciez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Souche came free, but Hugo Demeyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Demeyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Damas, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute Alex Damas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Demeyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Alex Damas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Witwich FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Alex Damas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Witwich FC were the better team. Witwich FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
