But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amine Nagel couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Souche came free, but Cyrille Arnault reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Damas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Arsenal FC's Cyrille Arnault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Damas in the 22nd minute of play. Moïse Thomasset might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cyrille Arnault. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moïse Thomasset ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Damas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Wasyl Zieba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Arnaud Brie successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alex Damas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrille Arnault having to interfere. Amine Nagel scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaud Brie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Souche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrille Arnault having to interfere. When Bastien Vincent fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal FC's protests and gave Bastien Vincent a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's Amine Nagel got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Damas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Witwich FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Damas to maneuver through the defense. In the 52ndth minute of the game Amine Nagel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Witwich FC's Arnaud Brie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Witwich FC's Alex Damas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Youri Bénezet notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Witwich FC's Arnaud Brie. Arnaud Brie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59thth minute of the game Amine Nagel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Witwich FC's Arnaud Brie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Karl Jullian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Youri Bénezet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Youri Bénezet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moïse Thomasset charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moïse Thomasset the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Witwich FC got a freekick which was hit by Moïse Thomasset. Youri Bénezet might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaud Brie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Youri Bénezet ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute Youri Bénezet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaud Brie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Witwich FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Jullian to maneuver through the defense. Alou Codron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Arnaud Brie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cyrille Arnault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Damas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alou Codron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Damas got free with Cyrille Arnault in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 3-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Amine Nagel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Arsenal FC's Cyrille Arnault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Leroi in the 82nd minute of play. Arnaud Brie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stéphane Schiltz in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alou Codron in the 87th minute of play forced Witwich FC's goalkeeper Arnaud Brie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Witwich FC's Alex Damas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cyrille Arnault narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cyrille Arnault made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Souche in the 95th minute. Arsenal FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
