Cyrille Arnault was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cyrille Arnault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Mottet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Arsenal FC defense, Jean-Pascal Schaff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cyrille Arnault. The Arsenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cyrille Arnault should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amine Nagel in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jason Cornilleau saved LPN from getting behind. Jean-Pascal Schaff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrille Arnault having to interfere. Alou Codron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jason Cornilleau made a huge save. 31 minutes into the game, Youri Bénezet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jason Cornilleau. Youri Bénezet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Jason Cornilleau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amine Nagel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Pascal Schaff during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when LPN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Pascal Schaff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jason Cornilleau had great luck who in the 39thth minute grab hold of the ball when Amine Nagel from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a little luck, LPN's Jason Cornilleau got control of the ball when Youri Bénezet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jason Cornilleau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Youri Bénezet in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Roger Chaillot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Christian Mottet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cyrille Arnault came out of the goal and Christian Mottet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Youri Bénezet sped through LPN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jason Cornilleau. Olivier Blanquet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Cyrille Arnault made a huge save. After 63 minutes of play, Arsenal FC's Amine Nagel made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jason Cornilleau was left in no man's land by his defense there! LPN's Jason Cornilleau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Bénezet in the 69th minute of play. Arsenal FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Jean-Pascal Raffin scored to the left of an out of position Cyrille Arnault, making the score, 4-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Youri Bénezet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Youri Bénezet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Cornilleau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Amine Nagel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason Cornilleau was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Youri Bénezet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jason Cornilleau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Amine Nagel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason Cornilleau was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Bénezet in the 87th minute of play forced LPN's goalkeeper Jason Cornilleau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Mottet got free with Cyrille Arnault in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stéphane Schiltz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 6-3 when Amine Nagel sped through LPN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jason Cornilleau. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arsenal FC had played much better football throughout.
