After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Nathanaël Gracia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nancy's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathanaël Gracia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre-Henri Grognet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nathanaël Gracia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Henri Grognet having to interfere. When Nathanaël Gracia came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Nancy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathanaël Gracia couldn't finish the play. Grégory Pille might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierre-Henri Grognet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grégory Pille ran back to his position shaking his head. Grégory Pille received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pierre-Henri Grognet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Batiste Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lucinges and the Nancy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Nancy booed when Lucinges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batiste Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes, Salomon Depoilly mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nancy and the Lucinges players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gage Keng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Nancy's Valentinos Leontakos got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Nancy's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Lacrouts came free, but Gage Keng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grégory Pille stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pierre-Henri Grognet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grégory Pille in the 57th minute of the match. Nathanaël Gracia struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Pierre-Henri Grognet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nancy. Lucinges's Pierre-Henri Grognet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathanaël Gracia in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Nancy were awarded a corner. Nathanaël Gracia went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Nancy's corner Nathanaël Gracia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pierre-Henri Grognet quite easily take care of the ball. Chants of Lucinges echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Nancy had held the ball for most of the match.
