Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfred Dumontet made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute, Alex Bessière hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Demeyer had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Yves Arnal from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Victor Richer charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Richer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Dumontet scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sofyane Canova, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Sciez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Arnal came free, but Hugo Demeyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aymerick Zajac got free with Hugo Demeyer in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alfred Dumontet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind AS Saint-Étienne's goalkeeper Sofyane Canova, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in AS Saint-Étienne's zone, Jules Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sofyane Canova came out of the goal and Jules Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aymerick Zajac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yves Arnal made a kick off. Hugo Demeyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aymerick Zajac in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Yves Arnal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AS Saint-Étienne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sofyane Canova was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Jules Tavares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jules Tavares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 66th minute, Yves Arnal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Demeyer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 71st minute, Martin Goudeau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Demeyer came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Saint-Étienne's Aymerick Zajac. But to his dismay, Aymerick Zajac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Martin Goudeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sciez FC's Jules Tavares got a free kick in the 88th minute. Hugo Demeyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Arnal in the 91st minute of the match. Hugo Demeyer came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Saint-Étienne's Aymerick Zajac. But to his dismay, Aymerick Zajac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. When the referee ended the match the AS Saint-Étienne players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
