In the 13th minute Batiste Lavandier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaud Brie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Martial Gobert sped through Witwich FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnaud Brie. In the 19th minute, Olivier Serot made a precise shot to the right of Arnaud Brie. Witwich FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Martial Gobert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaud Brie having to interfere. When Moïse Thomasset fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Witwich FC's protests and gave Moïse Thomasset a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Montagnole FC. Gabin Génot stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnaud Brie. 0-7.

After having played for 52 minutes, Martial Gobert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montagnole FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martial Gobert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Montagnole FC's Martial Gobert made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaud Brie was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Olivier Serot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danny Arpin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Souche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martial Gobert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arnaud Brie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Batiste Lavandier was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Montagnole FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arnaud Brie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martial Gobert in the 90th minute of play. Sammy Leroi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danny Arpin having to make a save. Montagnole FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
