An unexpectedly hard shot by Théophile Jullien in the 23rd minute of play forced Witwich FC's goalkeeper Arnaud Brie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Witwich FC's Arnaud Brie got control of the ball when Sidney Bordier tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, FC Bayeux's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Souche came free, but Gameiro Pitiot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Witwich FC's Arnaud Brie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Théophile Jullien in the 34th minute of play. Arnaud Brie made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sidney Bordier sent off a good shot on target. Wasyl Zieba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-Marc Rodriguez's late challenge caught a Witwich FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Marc Rodriguez helped the player get up and apologised. Gameiro Pitiot came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Witwich FC's Jonathan Souche. But to his dismay, Jonathan Souche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 42 minutes into the game, Sidney Bordier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bayeux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Witwich FC the free kick. Sidney Bordier hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. FC Bayeux's Gameiro Pitiot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Souche in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Théophile Jullien to make the kick off. Sammy Leroi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gameiro Pitiot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Jullian's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Paul-Émile Guénot charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul-Émile Guénot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute of the match Patrick Le Gars sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaud Brie skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th minute, Fabian Wiss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Boidin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dylan Bonnefon charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dylan Bonnefon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 70 minutes, Wasyl Zieba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Witwich FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wasyl Zieba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul-Émile Guénot hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Sidney Bordier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaud Brie having to interfere. In the 78th minute Dylan Bonnefon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaud Brie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Witwich FC's goal looked a bit too open when Théophile Jullien came free, but Arnaud Brie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dylan Bonnefon got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to FC Bayeux getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dylan Bonnefon hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Jonathan Souche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gameiro Pitiot. FC Bayeux's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Souche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 97 played minutes, FC Bayeux's Patrick Le Gars shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnaud Brie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bayeux reached it. The Witwich FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Witwich FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
