But to his dismay, Aymerick Zajac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 20thth minute of the game Alex Damas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AS Saint-Étienne's Sofyane Canova was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sofyane Canova was a little too slow when Alex Damas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yves Arnal to make the kick off. Aymerick Zajac succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 52nd playminute. 56 minutes into the match, Witwich FC's Jonathan Souche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sofyane Canova narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sofyane Canova dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Witwich FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Souche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Damas took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sofyane Canova. Sofyane Canova dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. The audience was convinced that Alex Damas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sofyane Canova was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Jonathan Souche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofyane Canova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaud Brie made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Melvin Blais sent off a good shot on target.
